MPP-Solutions
Access scheduling results generated by the MPP Scheduler. Solutions are tied to a specific order (and therefore a specific scenario) and support analysis, comparison, and evaluation.
Purpose
Solutions represent the outcome of a specific scheduling order and scenario. They enable analysis, comparison, and evaluation of scheduling behavior across different configurations, constraints, and priorities.
When to use
Use this module after one or more scheduling orders have completed. If an order is still running, wait for completion before interpreting results.
Good practices
- Compare multiple solutions to evaluate alternative scenarios or parameter sets.
- Use visualizations to understand resource usage, critical paths, and bottlenecks.
- Track which parameters (and resource calendars) were used for each solution to keep comparisons valid.
Common mistakes
- Interpreting results without considering constraints (availability, precedence, capacity).
- Comparing solutions generated under different assumptions unknowingly (different calendars/parameters).
